Work Day at King of Peace On Sunday, February 25, 2001, King of Peace put on an impromptu workday to build a swingset for the kids, to work on shrines to hold stations of the cross, and to begin planting flowers. Nearly 30 people stayed after church to take part in the fun (and work). Click on a photo below to see the full-sized picture. The swingset went together according to plan, thanks to a dedicated crew of workers and the kids (and priest) put the playground to an immediate and successful test. Meanwhile, a garden was being planned, planters planted with flowers, kids were getting dirty and Mike Gross took down a standing dead tree right in the middle of the building site for our first building. While in the garage, another crew was busily working away at shrines to hold the stations of the cross. |
